Somewhat to his surprise (but not, however, to that of people who knew about his talent) his work was selected for display in Barcelona's Palau de la Virreina.This public recognition prompted Alfonso to make his first lights with mirror and stand accessories using craft techniques, lights which were launched onto the
market at the International Lighting Fair. Although the stand he had there was small, its success exceeded all expectations so he decided to set up a team of enthusiastic young professionals who joined forces to found Modiss Iluminacion, S.L. and make it into an industry benchmark.
